How many guys use eflex or the like all day every day? Given it is like 50c a litre cheaper than 98 from the pump that's like $30 a tank cheaper. So surely the increase in fuel consumption would be countered by the cheaper price and you get more power? Or is that much worse on fuel consumption that its not worth using it every day? Sorry if these questions got asked earlier, don't remember reading it

For me it's worked out to an average of 20bux cheaper a week give or take abit... But yeh it's def. been cheaper

That's using around 80l a week

You sure they do a 15 micron stainless?

I posted a thread about fuel filters for e85 somewhere. Probably some better options these days if you do some exploring. I wouldn't go anything larger than 10 micron though.

Hi.

Caltex fix it 34cents cheaper than 98. It works out way cheaper. I actually don't find it doesn't drink that much more. Even if it breaks even it is worth it for 2 reasons.

1.the power gains and drive ability is unheard of for the money.

2. The car runs cleaner and cooler on it and therefore is better for your engine.

The only reason you wouldn't do it is lack of availability. My car has been on it for over 2 years now and it loves it. I never run any other fuel through it.

^^ This sounds promising! Well when I live in Canberra there's eflex nearby but when I go back to griffith I don't have access so would definitely need a tune on 98 as well as eflex. Was just considering getting KPM's new 460 intank module so I could run eflex (already getting their 1000cc injectors) and I'm tight on cash so wasn't sure if its worth it but if it has the potential to be cheaper then can't wait!

Cheers

It works out a little cheaper if your not driving it hard, it uses a lot more fuel when on boost but off boost its not that bad.

The other good with this fuel is the knock protection from the higher octane.

For me there are 2 Caltex servos close by so I have no issues with availability.

In the last year I only switched to 98 for the family trip to Surfers and once I was back the e-flex went straight back in.

And a pic of your fuel filters/ brands /anybody heloooooo ?

I cannot believe all you guys on here have been running it for years yet not one person has started a thread showing whats needed or where to buy/order the bits required for longevity running E85 or is there one ??

I just want to use it for the time being and my current tuner hasn't done this conversion before on an N/A

It may be a waste of time , but it may not and its cheaper to run and better for the environment yes ???
