Mick, raise your fuel pressure if you have the pump capacity and need a tad more. Go out and datalog your pulsewidth and RPM and I'll tell you exactly when they're going to be out of flow. Otherwise you know my response!

Those Fivo-o are probably the 0 280 158 040 injector. ID told informed me they're a factory two stroke Polaris injector from a snow mobile!

Thanks Toads,

Was just curious that's all. Considering I've already got the stubby ID's Im assuming I could use the FG injectors and the adapters I have now would fit, that makes the 1500's from KPM a nice option. I do like the ID's but I would rather have something that is rated for the Ethanol and that is why I was looking at the ID 1300's. Will do some logging and see where they stand now. I still run that Lucas ethanol additive even with the united pump E85, been running it for over 18 months straight without issue so far, Still stock rubber lines from between the sender and the surge. I replaced the intank stuff when I did the pump, and upgraded from surge to rail when I did the aftermarke reg and fuel rail.

Just checked my E85 fuel bill for the month. $642 which equals about $160 a week. Would normally spend about $100 to $120 on 98. The read out is about 26l/100km, about 270 per tank.

I have tried tuning it lean (up to 18+:1 in petrol ratios) but does not seem to give much benefit but does like a lean cruise ratio though.

Going back to 98 as a bit tired of going to the pump all the time.

Have managed good cold starts with these cold mornings here in Perth lately. Within 2 to 3 cranks. Its at 0.5 cranking lambda for me and its about 12.5 air/fuel ratio (petrol) once started. Just juggle the numbers cause your tune will influence what lambda you get at crank and cold start but the point is you can still get good/reasonable starts on 2 degree mornings with E85.

However I did find on long constant speed trips it can be pretty good on fuel, just very thirsty on stop start driving
