Mine takes 4-6 seconds or there abouts. Mainly due to fuel pressure being only 25psi at start up I think. I'll look at getting check valves put in to possibly improve start up

Mine starts instantly :s

Better than my 98 tune infact

Who tuned yours?

The only time it's hard is below 15degree mornings, other then that like you say it starts better then 98.. It's more annoying then anything, it just makes me look bad haha, self tuning it and then your mates hear it cranking for 4seconds isn't a good look haha

I was reading up on cold starting and E85 last nignt and its just the nature of the fuel.

However there seem to be some who don't have an issue so it seems some tuners have it sussed.

It seems you just need heaps of fuel on cold starts. I am just going to experiement making it richer and richer.

Its got nothing to do with fuel pressure.

You can be pretty targeted in the tuning in regards to cold starts. Basically you can target cranking lambda at the temps you want and there is a separate table where you can do the same when it starts.

I think the cranking lambda is most important to get it started though

tried to pm you trana but it wouldnt let me from the phone app.

Spot on in regards to cranking lambda, some just add fuel and richen up the cold cycle.

This just makes the car run like a pig whilst still in cold cycle.

Mine used to start BETTER then my 98 and my 98 starts 1-2 cranks!

When you prime the car it pressurizes the system so fuels there ready to start but because E85 is a *beep* when cold I believe because I have no check valves the system is depressurizing so once primed pressure is gone and it just winds over & over & over.

Funny how if I prime it say 4-5 times it starts first go! Whys that?

Cold start with priming -
