My car wasn't tuned for it....

Previous thread elsewhere explaining it all...

Another forum with BIG hp cars pinging on winter blend not on summer blend .. discussion was e-flex specific octane rating not so with United .

Which forum?

Wouldn't mind reading it if possible

Eflex has been pretty much 70% since day one, but a couple of times recently it has tested upto 83% so make me wonder if in fact Caltex are now starting to put a summer blend into play.

Oh and if you think E85 (United) is a bitch to start in winter try E98! You'll change your mind real quick!

Ive tried it about a year ago.... I think you need an aftermarket cdi... as the spark isnt strong enough to ignite it properly, and that's with a very low gap also.

kenne belle boost-a-spark is great for having increased gaps on highly oxeygenated fuels,any car really.wires into our cars piece of pizz and has a dial to regulate coil voltage.not overly expensive either.
