I didn't think ethanol was that bad. Are you thinking of methanol?

The Fuelab 6 micro glass element filters are the pick for e85 but they're so bloody hard to get. Many just use the stock paper element filters and wing it!

Yeah the V8's have been on E85 for a couple years.. But it's not really apples for apples comparing street cars to the V8's because I don't think many of their engines run more then one season.. (Or between crashes for some of the teams)

I see what you guys are trying to say but that doesnt really answer the question.

does the exhaust run hot because its a race engine or a result of using e85?

Exhaust should run cooler on E85 due to the lower burning temperature..
