thanks jvk, yep spring changes are relatively easy on car, even easier if you have a hoist :) will post up pics when I fit my ported housing in a week or so, il be using a 10psi spring to start with, they come with a 7 psi spring installed so I can couple them together to have a 17psi spring if I want to down the track! bit worried about how long my engine will last at this level but clint thinks it should be ok for a while... wel see :P

well, what an interesting past 2 days iv had, saturday was the day for parts fitting, ported rear housing, turbosmart actuator, plazmaman valve springs, deka 80lb injectors.... I did the turbo which came off and went back on no no dramas, clint realised halfway through unlocking the tensioner to that the timing guide that the tensioner pushes on was broken at the top! so off came the front cover to repair that and do the springs.

while it was all apart he strongly recommended a balancer so I called a mate who hooked me up with a powerbond 20% underdriven kit including balancer, idler pulley, drivebelt tensioner pulley and new belt for a great price!

so got her all back together with the new squirters and started a basic tune so I could drive it home as it was gettin late, realised my x3 box was still married to another car so had to use vcm again, off I went to baby it home. up early today for the tune, set it up on the street then hit the dyno at HPS. first run made 300kw at 4500 rpm with a speed limit drama stopping the run... a few runs later and BOOM 390RWKWS!! or 522rwhp. flattened out the boost curve and ended up with a street tune of 385rwkw or 516rwhp 830nm torque at 18psi.
