They have tuned a lot of these and have some tricks to make good reliable power on stock set ups that comes on nicely.Question, will the fitment of a bigger aftermarket intercooler, dump pipe and high flow cat always = need for new tune or is the ecu capable of learning the increased ability to breathe? Replaced anyway. Switching to Earls filter and heat wrapped turbo line soon though. To answer the question, like anything it depends on how you look after it. If I ran it stock with no track days, I would expect 400,000kms out of it.With my track days and high boost, very happy to get close to 170-200,000kms. I have replaced my turbo at 175000klms recently and so far so good, fingers crossed. Performance car place said the oil line and filter replacement to Earls (or similar) is essential as they get older (wish I knew that beforehand!!)Regular servicing helps, but its no guarantee - turbos in any model car can go anytime with bad luck.
