The A/C system uses the same principle as a refrigerator - very cold air which causes moisture. If you turn off A/C before you arrive home, the normal air (non A/C) will dry out any moisture by the time you get home.Shutting your car off straight away while using A/C will accumulate moisture, and start to pong up your vents. Should be a matter of blasting the fans and spraying the crap out of the vents.

Posted 18/03/12 10:37 AM Share Posted 18/03/12 10:37 AM The fix......got this from a Ford dealer...Go up to the shops and buy a small can of Glen20 (Country scent works best)...Take a new pollen filter and soak it with Glen20.....install and close the windows.....Start the car and turn your A/C on full bore......leave car running for about 10 mins. After 10 mins, turn off A/C, put heater on full for 10 mins and empty remains of the can over your carpets, interior and down the vents.....Give it another 10 min and let the car cool down for 5 mins before turning the A/C back on for another 10 mins......This method got rid of the same musty smell in mine that you have described....
