Pete, I'm in Perth, have a GS sedan and have the rear muffler delete. I can come and take you for a spin if you like. I was skeptical at first, but a member at AFF took me for a drive in his rear muffler delete and I was hooked.

Thanks dingdong,

That'd be great because as much as videos are good, if they aren't recorded using the best quality gear you're always left wanting for sound quality.

Does yours have the same 3" middle section and muffler as a ute? I thought the sedans had the valved muffler? Or is that just that vac operated rear muffler on them?

Bit of an update with mine Lads...

We discovered that we were still getting axle hop with the new suspension setup. So Bilstein came up with a specially valved shock at no charge...Much better! Can't be happier with the service of Malaga Springs & Suspension...Top Notch! Now you can hit 2nd at speed and it'll be lit for 100 or so metres and drive straight doing it, without hopping all over the shop:)

Took the ute back for it's 3k check at Lane Ford (where I bought it) and got them to fix an intermittant noise problem it had when dead cold. It was like a scraping sound in the flywheel area. They discovered a fault with the clutch bearing and replaced it...Fixed! Now it's noticeably better to take off in.

On the exhaust front I've been tempted to try unbolting the rear tailpipe but I really wanted to have another straight set of pipes to put on there first otherwise the pork might start bothering me. My mate got pinged by an asshole cop(asshole because he was doing 40 in a school zone and you couldn't hear it!? I think the *beep* couldn't handle it that he couldn't do him for speeding!) for his Manta system on his Mk1 so he took the opportunity to get rid of the "308 thong slapper" sound and replaced the front section which has hot dog style mufflers to use Manta' dual in/out muffler. It's a bit quieter and now because the pipes effectively merge in the muffler it sounds 100 times better!

Haven't got any wheels yet because every time I think I've found something I like it's either not available in 19", not available wide enough or not available with a big enough dish!? besides that I can't afford it:)

Look at those rear guards just waiting to be filled with big boots! :)

So, thought I'd touch base with you guys considering I had my other thread pulled, due to some issues it was causing.

However! we are now past that, and it's time for a bright future ahead.

I'll be posting up a whole new thread within the next 2 months. Big plans and a couple of tasteful mods will be happening, as well as the 1/4 mile drags I'll be doing in Sept.

Looking forward to sharing everything with you guys!
