Hi all, the car is nearly a month old and the wipers are noisy, they seem to work ok but they make that dragging sound 75% of the time as its coming down at the bottom. I washed the car and put rainx on all the windows including the windscreen hoping that would solve the problem, no such luck. Are they just a cheap crappy blade? Any suggestions? Best wipers / blades to use?

I found these on eBay "Aero Flat Wiper blades"

I have the bosch aero twins. Similar to the ebay ones but brand name, were around $20 each. Expensive yes, but Awesome! mine were squeaky and shuddering all of the time, now you can use them dry and they are still silent. Look awesome too...as far as wipers blades go!

Take it to the dealer if you have some free time. The problem could be the wiper motor on it's way out.

My wiper motor was replaced after nearly 4 months of ownership.

I plan to replace my wiper blades with some that perform better and at least look the part on a hi-performance car.

The current ones look sh*t.

try a clay bar on your window to remove any crap that's on there. this will help the most.

then buy some new wipers. get good quality ones. dont skimp. replace them every few months anyways as they are not designed to last long.

I got mine from supercrap, cost about 60-70 for the pair. Best wirpers ever. Had them on for so long they are starting to not wipe the water off until 6th sweep. Still no noise though. Last time I had bosch wipers. They were noisy as.

I ended up buying a set from Wiper tech on eBay, only a few days old and heaps of rain, so far I'm happy with them, no noise.

Mine were replaced (you know... when you don't ask for them to be replaced and they replace them off they're own bat and charge you for the privelage) during my last service and they are indeed noisy. They make a big whacking sound as they come off the rebound. But they do keep the screen clean. Don't know what brand they are.

Never heard of clay barring the windshield :) lol

I have buffed mine with cornflour. That works pretty well. Does the clay get the watermarks out ???

I bought some Repco branded ones $25 each (New product in their catalog) for the whole light weight plastic assembly inc blade. Silent wet and dry. Best I've found so far. Word of advice, buy the largest for the drivers side and one next size down for the passengers side. fit in 2mins. :B):

Repco HydroMax Flex Fusion Wiper

"$24.99 Intro price. The revolutionary Repco HydroMAX flex frame fusion wiper, with the latest water repellent wiper technology, combines the durable frame of a conventional wiper with the aerodynamic design of a flex wiper, creating the ultimate in windscreen contact and consistent ultra smooth and quiet wipe action. The all new frame design is then combined with water repellent coated rubber which repels rain, sleet and snow with every wipe. Improves safety and visibility. Water simply beads and rolls away! Available in 16"/400mm to 26"/650mm. (RHMB_). Latest water repellent technology."
