All the C5's were painted red, blue or black, but the BF and Territory ones were unpainted and looked like mine above as were the same caliper but on a taller bracket to cover the 322 rotors instead of the 298 standards. Are they painted like this one?

They Ford Premo's arent actually C5's, they are a special for Ford.

The C5 has ribs across the whole caliper as per this Pic

The Calipers/brackets I have appear too be the same as the items shown in this drawing:

Either way, the setup I have allows a bigger disc to be run, the Different between the pad size in the C5/6 and the stock Ford caliper is bugger all the big differance is the disc Dia

EDIT:

As per your pic a Ford Premo caliper:

I couldn't see the picture for some reason but found these new ones on eBay and they do look different for sure.

Thanks for the info. Look forward to the pictures of what you have. :)

Links showed up the in quote so got to see what you meant. Thanks. Looks like the Ford ones are a different casting but see people use C5 rebuild kits on them so must have the same pistons I guess.

I did this upgrade about 4 years ago. Ford uses the PBR C6 caliper, not the older C5. Unless you know someone at PBR, I don't think you can get the caliper brackets on their own. I got the front caliper kit from PBR which was minus the hoses and hose brackets. You will need different hose brackets. The only place I could get them from was Ford who wanted around $55 each while the standard hose bracket was under $10.

I bolted my FPV premo calipers to the exisiting mounts when I went from XR6 turbo stock to the FPV/PBR 325mm? calipers and rotors.

these are up for sale at the moment these are the blue FPV version. comes with rotors to suit
