Gojeep Member 20 Member For: 13y 3m 16d Posted 21/11/11 05:35 AM Author Share Posted 21/11/11 05:35 AM You can buy the BA Premium calipers brand new from MTQ (look them up on whitepages.com.au). Trade price is around $200 each caliper (not sure what retail price is). The part numbers are B862-381 (LHS) and B862-382 (RHS).Problem is that is without the mounting brackets. If someone can get the brackets then buying the calipers new locally is very viable. The mounting brackets are different to the standard ones - I've already checked and compared (got Premiums on my girlfriend's taxi).I saw that you also had the Brembo's now on your own taxi after taking these off with 18's. How much room have you got between the caliper and the inside of the rim? I saw your measurements from caliper to spokes, but after the other. What would be even better is knowing the centre of hub to furthest point of caliper, as all wheels are different depending on offset and construction etc.

Gojeep Member 20 Member For: 13y 3m 16d Posted 22/11/11 05:06 AM Author Share Posted 22/11/11 05:06 AM Not good for me then. Only found one who was running a 17"x4.5" rim with these that fitted. I dare say not much of the caliper would be within the rim being so narrow! Wonder if the 4 pot would fit with a 330 rotor then? Depending if there is anything stopping the caliper going further inboard as can make custom mounts no problem.

Gojeep Member 20 Member For: 13y 3m 16d Posted 22/11/11 10:42 PM Author Share Posted 22/11/11 10:42 PM (edited) The 6 pot ones actually look a little slimmer due to the smaller pistons I guess. I wonder if there is a bit more clearance with those? Looking at philmeup post on another thread with his 6 pot with 18's, appears to be just over 1/2" of clearance to the inside of the rim which is all you would need in the radius to clear 17's depending on the wheel brand, offset and if a reverse rim or not.Would so love to know the centre of hub to outside of caliper on the 4 and 6 pot. Would make checking wheel clearance for anyone looking for a upgrade that much easier. Could measure these maybe while still mounted from the centre of cap to the outside of the caliper. Gojeep Member 20 Member For: 13y 3m 16d Posted 21/12/11 04:16 AM Author Share Posted 21/12/11 04:16 AM Thanks for all the help on here but decided in the end to take the cheaper way out and fit some new calipers I had for years sitting on the shelf.I made a conversion to fit the SRT8 Brembo 4 piston calipers. These are all the pieces I came up with to do the conversion. The brackets I made bolt to the back of the knuckleThey are big!The rotors I used with a matching 5x4.5"pcd are from a Ford Territory Turbo and measure 340mm/13.5" and 32mm thick. They fit nicely behind my 17" rims too.You can see more detail if you want in my FB album.https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150405995576898.360741.665551897&type=1&l=57769b6d76
