I did this upgrade about 4 years ago. Ford uses the PBR C6 caliper, not the older C5. Unless you know someone at PBR, I don't think you can get the caliper brackets on their own. I got the front caliper kit from PBR which was minus the hoses and hose brackets. You will need different hose brackets. The only place I could get them from was Ford who wanted around $55 each while the standard hose bracket was under $10.

You are very right there and even had it mentioned in my write up linked above from years ago. Forgot the details some where along the way!

Pics of the caliper brackets and discs:

Thank you for those photos Luke. They are the BF XR8 322 rotor ones and have the same caliper that I already have. You were right there.

Yeah as i mentioned you could reuse you old caliper with the larger disc. There's f-all differance in pad size between the standard/c5/c6 just the larger disc. The brackets are for sale if you want too go that way (you can have the disc's if you happy too pay the frieght)

Oh and from a LandRover Fan Pics of Jeep???? :)

Thanks for the interest Luke. Got a whole web site on all the mods and trips I have done etc. http://www.go.jeep-xj.info

Also there is a Hotrod build just starting using the V8 Hemi and all the running gear and interior etc from a 2008 Grand Cherokee into a 1948 Willys Pickup

Has anyone ever tried fitting the Brembo calipers inside a 17" rim? Just wondering is case different offset rims and brands might make it possible at all? My wheels are offset more to the outside so the calipers would be sitting in the bigger diameter part of the rim.

Also do FG Brembos also bolt on to the BA's?

I am looking at doing a brake upgrade to my standard BA 298mm setup I have fitted to my Jeep. From what I have been told is that the BA Premium FPV setup with the 325 rotors is a direct bolt on and that the calipers are actually the same as C5 Corvette's but with a different bracket of caliper cradle. It is much cheaper to buy the calipers out of the US but wondered if the FPV caliper cradles can be bought separately? Rang the local Ford dealer but was a bit clueless without a VIN.

You can buy the BA Premium calipers brand new from MTQ (look them up on whitepages.com.au). Trade price is around $200 each caliper (not sure what retail price is). The part numbers are B862-381 (LHS) and B862-382 (RHS).

Problem is that is without the mounting brackets. If someone can get the brackets then buying the calipers new locally is very viable.

The mounting brackets are different to the standard ones - I've already checked and compared (got Premiums on my girlfriend's taxi).
