Replace Tube From Air Box To Crossover Pipes

Greetings

I recently installed a new CAI kit on my BF Turbo and a friend has said I should replace the factory tube between the air box and crossover pipes (could someone please confirm if this tube is actually called the SNORKEL ???)

Would there be any benefit to replacing this?

What kind of tube should I get?

And who might sell them?

I have seen some on the herrod motorsport site although they say they don't make one for a BF.

A pic of your engine bay setup would help...although the pipe that connects the end of the CAI to the crossover is not the snorkel.. the snorkel is this...

by the way the crinkled pipe that connects the air box to the crossover is good, so long as the stock crossover is in place.

Ahhh yes the crinkled pipe is the pipe I'm talking about.

I wonder what my friend was on about.

I have seen some pipes that replace the crinkled one that are a solid, straight plastic pipe, perhaps that was it.

To be honest I dont see anything wrong with that pipe.. im running 315 rwkw with no restrictions coming from that pipe.. I think in the xr8's they fade and look quite ugly but in the bf's they're fine mate.. save your money and gradually get into the need for rwkw's...lol

Although I'm trying to keep costs down and do nothing major just yet

If your still under dealer warranty I probably won't muck around with anything serious cause they can be the hardest to deal with in the case something goes wrong when the car is nit moded let alone with modifications.
