ratter Member 6,793 Member For: 18y 7m 29d Gender: Male Location: @ my laptop Posted 26/11/11 12:58 AM Share Posted 26/11/11 12:58 AM you have put 2 and 2 together and come up with 5.Yes the tune can make the car shift harder which can lead to input shaft damage, it can also turn off torque management requestor, but that has always been able to turn off by turning off the cause of the torque management.Fact is there have been quite a few cars that have broken input shafts before the tuning was available and there have been stronger input shafts available for quite a few years now. it is the power of the engine which breaks the shaft, but combined with traction or lack of it which will have the greatest affect on how long it may last for, doughy shifts will take some of the load off the shaft but then clutches/bands suffer Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
