With a stronger shaft won't other stuff then break? Also is it possible to leave the torque restriction on for drive but remove it for performance mode?

That's the way it goes, if you have enough power and have traction you normally break things.

Torque management can not be changed via modes

That's what I was told after mine went. I replaced mine with a heat treated standard one rather than billet.. A lot cheaper to replace the shaft than the other components of the ZF.

Input shaft as in tail shaft?

input shaft is at the front of the trans, it delivers the drive to the trans from the convertor

What are we talking (ballpark) in dollars to replace an input shaft Mick?

Haven't had to do one yet but I would expect possibly 3500 to 5000 for a rebuild using a new shaft. I think off hand, and happy to be corrected, that Nizpro's input shaft maybe $1800 on it's own, Monsta Torque uses a different one and builds a good box using it
