That's better mate, that's the sort of thing you are after! I haven't had a lot to do with haro, or suntour, but good to have shimano components and hydraulic brakes are a bonus at that price, although maintenance can be a bitch!

As Trainer said. That's the sort of bike your after. Steer clear of kmart type bikes and heavier type free ride bikes if your going to be riding on the street a bit. Id be looking for something that's XC and second hand with decent components for that money.

I've got a Norco Saskwatch that's great for free ride but a bitch on the street as its heavy and only as 2 front gears.

Cannondale Hardtail Trail.. Great for around town if you want something with fat tires and brilliant off the roads.. Not ideal for 40km rides though.. Found that out the painful way (Stupid ride a bike to work day).. Now have an Avanti Sprint for road use.. Constantly gets punctures around here so get something with a decent amount of treat.

if your interested in this one kv make sure you ride it, as a small frame may not be big enough for you

I don't know you KV but the Giant is pretty restrictive in sizes.. I don't like Apollo (Personal Preference).. But the Cannondale Trail and Hardrock sports are both excellent pieces of equipment.
