Boosting My F6

Hi all,

I have a 2008 F6, and would like to make the following mods - looking for guidance feedback....

Boost Turbo to run approx 17-18 PSI

Replace Front Mount Intercooler with http://www.ebay.com....=item4842cca2e3

Remap/Tune ECU

I am told that both my fuel pump and injectors can remain the same.

Can anyone recommend a place to get this done and give me an idea as to costs. I will be installing cooler myself, just need someone else to do boost and tuning etc. I am in Melbourne by the way, Northern Suburbs

Also curious what sort of rear wheel kilowatts I could expect to making with the above modifications.

Thanks for the feedback. Where do you buy the Power Cooler from? Is it as complete and easy to install as the HDI? and price???

I'll be putting in a gutted cut (shhhhh!)

Can anyone recommend a Melbourne based tuner to wind the boost up and remap ECU? Any idea of cost?

If I was you I'd add a high flow cat to your list. Low to mid 300's would be my guess

400RWKW?!?!? Wow, how does it go? How much is your total spend? Have you done a qrtr mile yet with decent rubber?

Does the Clutch/Driveline hold up with that much grunt....

Actually the HDI is meant to be extremely difficult to install where as the PWR cooler drops straight it. S990 I thinks plus about 400 for piping (there is a group buy for coolerworx piping going on at the moment).

Pitlane Performance is the place to go in Melbourne.

The thing that I like about the HDI set is its 100% complete, delivered to your door. I dont need to muck around with custom pipework etc, unless Coolerwerx provide a similar idiot proof assembly?

Frankston for Pitlane Performance... that's miles away for me lol

Any reputable Ford tuners out the Northern Suburbs??

Also, I have been continuously told that the F6 fuel pump and Injectors are good for 350kw+??? Is this not that case?

If possible I would much prefer to confine my mods to Cooler, Boost and Tune with a higher flow exhaust (gutted cat). For interests sake, apparently the stock F6 exhaust flows quite nicely and there isn't much to be gained from ripping it out and dropping another $600-800 on a new system (at least)

PWR/Coolerworx kit is meant to be quite simple, HDI is meant to be and absolute PITA to fit. That's just the word around here..

Don't think the F6 injectors go to 350, would have to be close to max if they do and yes the standard exhaust flows pretty well but a full exhaust will net good gains.

Who are you getting your info from? I'd start not listening to them lol
