I've got 338mm centre hub to guard with pedders 2994's. Have noticed also that the shocks get 'choppy' now.

Most probably bouncing on your bump stops(front). Look at a lowered VE next time. They bounce in the rear allover the place.

Are you running standard struts? Pretty sure anything aftermarket have shorter bumpstops.

Kinda weird with all the different King spring choices.

I've got Lovell sport low in front(sits just shy of 340mm centre to guard) and super lows in back(sits around 340mm centre to guard, can vary +/-5mm depending on fuel load). Pretty much sits spot on and rides nicely. On the FGs Lovells only have one choice up front and two at the rear, the super lows being lowest or you can opt for sport rears. Picture below is with camber set to 0.6 deg neg all round.

Nice wheels and nice ride height.

At these heights in the FG you certainly need a good aftermarket shock with shorter bump stops, the factory shocks are now operating outside their range and bump and rebound can be all over the place. Bump steer also can be rather aweful if going hard around corners with undulations.

Rears are fine but working on fixing the fronts now. It's going in on Friday to get sorted. Want 350mm hub to guard allround so am coming up 10-12mm.

How much sag (if any) have people noticed with kings after say 6 - 12 months?

The reason I ask is that I've heard kings are prone to this and will most likely drop like 10mm over that period. I'm not really happy with my Pedders combo. The fronts even with the 10mm superpro spacers have settled at 345mm. Not too bad but the rears are too high at 350mm ® - 355mm (L). In king language, that's around sssl fronts and ssl rears = ghey! So, I either leave the fronts and stick a set of sssl in the rears or, pull them all out and go a set of ssl allround to get rid of some of the forward rake and get the gaps front to back even. Don't really like the 'fat bloke' in the back seat look the sssl rear, ssl front combo gives. That, and going lower in the rear will create more neg camber (without changing bushes) = less traction.

Anyway, any advise on the sag (or not) would be helpful so I can make an informed decision. Cheers, Bomber.

^^ thanks Pat. Steve (from Kings) told me that the SSL's would go in at 355 and settle at 350 after a few days. If they're dropping another 5-10mm from that after 6 - 12 months, that would get me around the height I'm chasing.

just from my experiance from the new progressive rate springs from kings is narda thing yet been in say 2 months and still sits at 350 on the dot so to speak if the shocks die maybe it might drop more definately a brand spanker car will settel down more than mine but yeh so far so good and iam very happy with the progressive rate tops on the new kings take's out all the harshness that kings used to have
