Ford made a bit of a F*&k up with the B series (not that they will admit it. The FG has a steel crossmember instead of an ally one!) and put an alloy crossmember in the car. Now over time due to torsional differences between the ally crossmember and the steel chassis its bolted too, these bolts work loose, totally screwing up your wheel alignment. Now if the tyre shop dont know to check these bolts and just do the alignment with them loose, the minute you drive the car away from the shop, the alignment changes due to the whole assembly moving around. Its something that happens over time, and you dont notice it as it doesnt get loose to the point of clunking or anything, but it does make the car wander slightly, and the steering sloppy in corners, and obviously wears your tyres out. A friend of mine made me aware of it as he had tyres wearing out every 10k, and after a local tyre shop here contacting FPV, they advised of this very issue. mine get tightened every 10k when the wheel alignment is done, and I tell you what you will be amazed at the difference. I believe they get done up F.T. .. just a bit of usefull info as not all tyre shops know about this issue.
