Had my car being tuned last week and tuner noticed one of the cylinders wasnt firing.Pin pointed it down to faulty ECU.

So we sent car to Ford dealership (binks) and had them order a new ECU.

2days later they fitted ECU and said car wont start with it so must be a faulty new ECU so they ordered another.4 days later they fitted another new ECU and car wont start so they rang me and said car is highly modified and it aint nothing they are doing but a fault else where in the car and thay cant fix.Are these pricks serious!!!!I replied so what do I do just burn it then, cause I have a 80k lead weight that wont even run and they replied with yep have car back cause we cant get it to run!!.

I Sent tuner down to ford and when he disabled vehicle security via the software the car starts with new ECU.

The ECU talks to the BEM (I thinkk that is what it is called) and to the keys and then starts the car and runs. And when a new ECU is fitted all these parts must be married up to work but ford have no idea what they are doing. As it turns out after tuner left and told them what to do they said they will fix tommorrow.Has anyone else had any of this sort of prob with their car or FRAUD before???

:stupid2:

I can't believe they did anything considering how much of the car voids warranty. What dealer? I might go there if I have any dramas after mods.

We occasionally get a car that needs an ecu replaced or even a stock factory tune reloaded (if a customer has no flash box) we have used Wignall ford in frankston and find them very helpful, even when I have given them cars still in pieces and big coolers etc

Hi Shanan,

I saw your car at Binks last week. I am currently trying to get them to replace my diff and tailshaft under warranty (with much anguish).

So far I have been very disappointed with Binks, and their attitude, but we'll see what they say next week (fingers crossed).

Jake.

Dealers tend to stay away from modded cars. What iv been told by one before is, "we dont know what has been done to it so its difficult for us to trouble shoot"

well the 15year olds servicing your car are not trained to deal with cars that are changed from factory (ie modified).

so no sh*t they had no idea what to do!

Your car is highly modified and we dont know whats done to it.FAGGOTS!!
