I'd be happy to stay at 17psi boost, nice and conservative. You still have good power and wouldn't be putting too much stress on the drive chain. If you upped the power then so does the risk of something going bang. I was happy to follow Rob and Bretts advice and I'm guessing you are too, after all they know what they are doing.

Are you happy with how it drives! That's all that matters. If not let them know and I'm sure they will sort it out.

rob said the gtx3582r is a bit lazy to come on boost, contrary to what everyone raves on about on forums. I think there is more power in it if the turbo came on boost harder because the car is still going hard all the way to rev cut.

people are claiming they are getting full boost at 3000rpm, I'm getting mine at 4000rpm. I understand that there are many variables that go into consideration, and remembering I have the huge stage 3 pw intercooler kit would play a huge part. rob said that there is turbo combination that would be better than the gtx3582r that he has had results with.

I'm spewing I didn't leave it up to him with the turbo too. I'm afraid I fell victim to internet professional car tuners

I also have the GTX turbo same as yours, a bit sad that you are not happy with your set up. Have you tried speaking to another tuner get a few prefessional opinions? There has been a few tune house cars (manuals) that have gone 450 plus with this set up. I am getting mine tuned by Heinrich in Adelaide.

He thinks the car should make about 430rwkw.

Hope you get it sorted

What has Rob suggested to do? Did he have any ideas to get the boost on earlier?

I have the same turbo on my ute that rob has on his ute.. I was going to get a GTX but ended up going a different path. bit of a shame mate fair bit of difference between the 2 dyno print outs.

not sure who is at full boost at 3000rpm with a GTX3582r! I'm at around 15 lbs around 3000 and then 20 - 21 around 4250 right through rev cut!

My tuner smashed the boost in early and yeah ok there is a bit of lag but nothing to winge about.

I'd just ask robbie if he can command more boost straight away and go from there, also check that there's plenty of pre load on the actuator beacuse if the pre load is weak then that equals lag!

check this curve out! (we did tidy this tune up after this run this was a sh*ts and giggles run) but shows you how hard these GTX's can come on!

Before this gets out of hand, I just want to make it clear that I'm very happy with the job monsta torque has done with the car.

I rang Simon at xft to ask if he had much experience with the gtx3582r, and like Rob from monsta torque, he said that it wouldn't be the turbo of choice for the set up I have.

After telling him the work I have had done to the car, he was happy for me to take the car down and do a power run. The 2 power runs do differ a little, and I'm left wondering which of the 2 dynos is more accurate.

The difference between having 660nm and 803nm is huge in my eyes, and the only reason I'm delving a bit deeper into the true dyno reading is because I have explained the car as not being able to spin the wheels at all, in any gear.... Much to the amazement to forum users and simon at xft.
