Also check your bolts that secure the front and rear housing.Could be your actuator not working, where did they plumb your boost signal that was orignaly tapped into the front housing?Just trying to go through the simple things. Sounds like the turbo is trying to make the power but is possibly losing boost somewhere.Mate I agree with everyone else don't sit back and accept your car the way it is, get it tuned elsewhere. My 2c

djqc Member 291 Member For: 13y 3m 15d Posted 01/12/11 10:13 PM Author Share Posted 01/12/11 10:13 PM I think I have the supporting mods to go 400 too, and that's why Ive started to dig a bit deeper as to why I'm not even close (car ran 360 on xft dyno)The fact of the matter is the car is running 17.8psi and not making the same power, as early, as other cars with similar mods. I'm going to leave the car with another tuner to iron out what ever is causing the lag/lack of power. Should I mention manifold bolts, clamps, pre load testing the actuator? Or are these thing going to become apparent when he starts working with the car?

Simon would have picked up on it straight away if he has had it on his dyno. It's the first place to look when your lacking power.

So dont look too deeply thereYou say your car is not making the power it should compared to other cars with similar mods. Every car is different and wont made identical power, some make more, some make less. in my eyes it made very good power so you will be chasing your tail there. How ever what could be improved is it coming on boost earlier. ALF05T Member 453 Member For: 18y 9d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 02/12/11 01:28 AM Share Posted 02/12/11 01:28 AM that's a 40 to 60rwkw short fall. I suppose at the end of the day find someone else who has similar mods and feel the acceleration of his car to yours. The drag strip never lies. djqc Member 291 Member For: 13y 3m 15d Posted 02/12/11 02:04 AM Author Share Posted 02/12/11 02:04 AM I'm not really complaining about the power it is making, but I think that if the boost came on earlier, it would be a quicker car with more power. There is more in the car as the graph shows. It is still gaining power at rev cut. What I want to see is something like the graph above, where the car is making full power well before rev cut. Then I will be happy seeing that the car is at its full potential.
