I just love my G6ET, I'd marry it if I could. Probably best car I've owned, even with all the mods and power upgrades still a very daily driver.

Just hate to see you walk away and not fully enjoy what you have done to your car.

You know it also means you're preserving the drive chain somewhat not having huge chunks of torque coming on all at once tearing at the gearbox, diff and drive shafts.

Exactly, both our F6 deliver power differently. One is very smooth and the power is linear. The other comes on full boost at 1/4 throttle and pins you back in the seat. NOW that power surge is great but you dont always want to drive like that. As a daily driver the other car is better and smoother. The car will only turn the tyres in first, second has good grip. Manual (324rwkw) 11psi.Your car makes awesome power. I would maybe go for a drive in a car with similar power that hits hard so you can decide. I would hate for you to spend money changing the turbo and then dislike the aggressiveness. It does change the feeling of the car. I suppose its the difference between a hoon car and a Limo. At least you can put all the power to the ground Maybe dont change any components, get Simon to give you an extra tune and if you dont like it, or you end up not liking the aggressiveness you can change back to the old tune. Pre load on the actuator. If these not enough then you will get lag irrespective of how much boost you are commanding early. I'd Luke know know what turbos the boys were referring too as a better alternative! Bet ya it involved an aftermarket manifold. The T04z would be laggier again then the Gtx.

I've had a think about it and I'm not going to get a new turbo. The car is quick, and I'm happy with it. I'm thinking about taking it to Simon. Won't cost me a thing if he can't better it. Nothing to lose, everything to gain so to speak.

I can't justify spending any more money on another turbo, when I have just paid near on 2g for garetts "latest technology"

If simon struggles with the car too, then I will walk away with my tail between my legs.... Then forget everything I have said in this post..... Then build up the courage to spend another wad of cash..... And then probably be in a similar position regarding something else in the car in the new year.

The car is over budget at the moment, and I need to draw the line somewhere. Haha the modding bug has definetly bitten with this car!

good work mate dont no how getting a second opinion comes across as bad mouthing another tuner but any way.. its your car take to who ever you want too.. hope they sort it out for you and drives the way you want to. sounds like they want to get it right for you anyway which is the main thing.. my tuner over here speaks highly of Rob and said he knows what he is doing.. mine comes on full boost around 3600-3800 with the t04z comp wheel actually went for a drive before with the lower boost tune and its pretty good for the street.. it actually fries the tyres no worries at all haha.. just need to get these v/springs changed bloody *beep* of a job

Wasn't sure how others on this forum perceive going to a different workshop, had some bad experiences on the dark side with tuners bagging each other which in turn led to it getting onto the open forums.

I sure MT and XFT don't do this, their work speaks for itself.

I changed my valve springs took 11 hours with the Atomic tool.

I went with the Atomic 34psi springs have never had a problem since. I used to have the nizpro items

but they were :pooh:

Don't get it a tooth out. My car idled like crap turned it off for 10 minutes and restarted, got told that it was the lifters draining out.

Yeah I dont want this to turn into a "workshop x is better than workshop y"

Like I said before, I will end up goin with the easiest, most effective way that will make the car better.

The last thing I want is Rob and Simon in a sh*t fight based on my car, and that is not why I am here. I'm here trying to gather information and mannerisms of other cars with the same power levels as mine.

The reason I stress all of this is, someone can read this and judge/question the professionalism of rob and the monsta torque brand, and by going to Simon, it'll make everything better.

This is not the case as I have made hard work for both shops by providing them with a turbo that they wouldn't normally use.

Sorry to repeat myself, but as Dave has said, It can easily escalate into a my d*cks bigger than your d*ck between the 2 shops. And that is the last thing I need, because there will be no one left to work on the car!
