A good set of Ling Long tyres is good for a 50rwkw increase.

I think we are lucky in WA to have some of the best tuners in Australia.I did this myself, after having been initially to another Perth tuner and not being completely satisfied.I do agree XFT and MT are amounst the best tuners in Australia for our turbos. I read on this and other forums and in magazines about their work, we in Perth are blessed with these two.

Might take their combined skills to sort it out.Hate to see this turn into a "tuner war", god knows we already lack good tuners(Ford turbos) here in Perth.dave, as I said a few posts ago.... I don't want this to end with a shops name getting dragged through the mud. both shops have said that my turbo IS NOT the turbo of choice they would have used for my application.both shops have said that the comp wheel is too small for my application, and hence why the car is lazy.I spoke to rob last night, and he is happy to help out.both shops do have different solutions to rectify the smaller comp wheel though. rob is looking into getting my turbo machined to fit a bigger comp wheel, where as simon thinks it might be not worth machining, and to just get a new turbo.I have neither said yes nor no to either shop, as I go back to work for three weeks today. I will liaise with the two shops over the coming weeks, and my mind will be made up on the most effective, cost efficient way to get more power out of the car. NOT BECAUSE ONE SHOP IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER.like arronm has said, its like going to get a second opinion from another doctor. either way, I'm in good hands with both being reputable shops

A good set of Ling Long tyres is good for a 50rwkw increase.this will get in the 400s??? and I've been thinking its the turbo the whole time.... hahaI know it sounds stupid that I've got "too much" traction, but I'm only using it as a gauge to other cars. people are saying that they are spinning the first three gears with the same amount of power, where as I can't get the thing to spin first from a standing start.I'm thinking that with the lazy turbo, the power delivery is very steady on, and maybe that's why I am not getting break neck take offs, and frying expensive ling longs in minutes

I have myself made some poor modification decisions that have ended up costing me more than I intended for my initial goal by having them corrected(my brakes come to mind). Ends up being a bit personally embarrassing really. You know we only learn by our mistakes and this also helps others with their future upgrades as well. I think I learnt more about these cars by stuffing up than I would have otherwise.I hope others on the forums will not see this as a negative towards any of our tuners in WA. I'm keenAfter my experience I've learnt that it's best just to bite the bullet and get it done just how you want it, even if it costs you more(within reason). If you don't you will regret it and never really enjoy driving your car and wish/want to sell it.I'm glad I did, now I am happy/satisfied with what I have, my initial goals have been achieved. Everytime I drive my car I enjoy it, I'm not wishing it was something else. Edited 30/11/11 02:42 AM by wa g6et
