it drives really well, don't get me wrong. its just that there are others with similar set ups doing 3rd gear skids and I can't get it to squeal the wheels in first from a standing start. to me, that sounds like a lack of power or boost or torque etc.

You have plenty of power , torque and boost. Just ask Rob to bring full boost on earlier. What pound actuator do you have.

I talked to rob and he said the boost is on full duty cycle, and he can't command anymore. where does that leave me? simon said he is keen to give it a crack, and if he can't make it better, I don't pay... don't know what actuator he used

If it was my car I would get Simon to check the mods and then take a shot at the tune. Like he said if he cant improve it you dont pay. But believe me he is thorough. My car is up to dyno run 106.

I would be dissipointed if when I get my GTX tuned it made no extra power when they are quoting 10 to 15% gain over GT3582 on the Garret website.

I have been told that the real gains aren't being made because of our restricive exhaust manifolds.

The GT3582 are averaging 410 to 420, the GTX has the more efficient 11 blade wheel you would think it would make more than the GT brother?

I will probably go with the 6 boost manifold and external wastegate set up later. I guess I am half way there, I think with the T4 inlet and better manifold

design I should be able to hit 450 plus.

Have Rob and Simon spoken to each other about your car? Might take their combined skills to sort it out.

Hate to see this turn into a "tuner war", god knows we already lack good tuners(Ford turbos) here in Perth.

I think its just like going to another doctor for a second opinion. I think we are lucky in WA to have some of the best tuners in Australia.
