I'm starting to wonder how mine will cope with north qld weather with the little cooler might have to upgrade to the stage 3 soon. Good to see your stock v springs held up like mine did. I got my new atomic ones sitting at home ready to go in if I can get off my ass and fit them lol. Edited 24/11/11 11:35 AM by CHLAXN

I'm wondering how yours went 400+??? mine went near 400 on 19psi but he brought it back for safety. how much boost you running? also getting full boost, 17psi @4000rpm... laggy? Better to be conservative than push it.

I have a different turbo Gt3566r exhaust is different and cooler is different also different dyno's and tuners and weather conditions. I would like to get mine run up on another dyno to check how accurate it is.

Did you get a surge tank at the same time?Rob and Brett will only do what they know is safe, they have used their own FGs for R&D so they have plenty of real world experience and know the limits of these cars at the various mod levels. They would never risk a clients car.Thing I like about my MT tune is torque and boost come on nice and early, getting nearly max boost(15psi) and torque(750nm) by 2000rpm and then fairly flat til 4500rpm(max power of 297rwkw) before boost trails off. This seems to work well on the street as this range is mostly were my rpms are around town. I guess this is the advantage of the little FG turbo, I'm happy with what I have.I think if I went the bigger turbo path then all the reliability issues would need to be addressed. The ZF strengthened, cooling system, cvs, tailshaft, tyres, it would become an expensive exercise.

djqc Member 291 Member For: 13y 3m 15d Posted 26/11/11 01:03 AM Author Share Posted 26/11/11 01:03 AM yeah I do have a print out. will get it scanned when I'm not busy.the car is in good hands and it would of made more power if it had more boost. a professional mechanic has done why he thinks is safe, and I can't argue with thatwhat is a safe level of boost? is 17psi conservative?
