hi guys,

im totally new in xr6t sence. I used to have a skyline. just jump to xr6t a few month ago...

pls help me out.

I think there are some problems with my ba xr6t which lead its comsumption is quite high....

I bought it these year July. its run like 23L/100kms at that time. absolute rediculous.

The car was all standard, and im driving it very gently, no heavy foot at all.

then I get it serviced, chaged oil, air filter and spark plugs. and run on computer showed everything was fine, but the gearbox. Anyway, the fuel comsuption was better, 18L/100kms.

then I went to a gearbox specialist and they took it for a test drive and told me these was nothing wrong with the gearbox. coz its grives totally fine, nothing abnormal.

it sit around 2000rpm at 100km/hr when cruise on high way, is this info. helpful to see if the gearbox is all right?

I really dont know what to do now ....

18L/100kms, is this the way a xr6t should be??

can anyone give me some suggeation???

thx a lot !!

What is the average speed? I have a tuned BA and at the momment im at 15.5L/100 but I was at 18 a couple of days ago but I have been a bit heavy footed with it since tuning. Stock with a average speed of 45km/h I was at 12L/100. Undo your battey for 30mins ( resets ECU) and see what it is after that.

Yeah average speed plays a bit role. My T uses quite abit more then others around here but my average speed ranges from 25-30kmh whic is lots of stop start traffic and combined with a heavy car is sh*t for fuel economy. Id try what Gsd112 said and reset the ECU and see how ya go

cheers

My average speed is 51kph and I use approx 11.9L Tuned . that's being very light on the throttle and 90% highway driving. Once I reset my ECU and did a blocky it read almost 40L until I did a weeks worth of highway.

zhaojun_xr6t I wouldnt worry too much about the readings

what do you get out of a tank?

can you reset the dash readings without disconnecting the battery like in the fg's?

it only do about 300kms a tank. probably even less than that. I did reset the dash reading(with disconnecting battery) after last sevice like 2 month ago, still reading around18.5L/100kms. What do you suggest mate? cheers

At 22km/h average speed, I'd say your consumption is about right unfortunately. I've seen mine at about 16l/100km when my average is around 28km/h. Might be worth resetting the trip computer and going for a bit of a highway stretch just to confirm what you achieve in those conditions.

Just to put things into perspective when I had my VT clubsport 5.7L 6 speed 4.11's tuned etc around town I was averaging about 24-26L per 100km that was worked out from how much petrol refilled plus the trip meter reset but it could also get the best was 8.7l to 9.6L/100km on the highway.

Since ive had the BA Turbo Auto I easily beat that around town at a guess id say 20L/100km around town and 11L to 12L/100km on the highway I thought this really wasnt to bad considering the auto.
