Guest Isher Guests Posted 02/12/03 12:37 AM Share Posted 02/12/03 12:37 AM I have noticed the diff clunk in mine is getting worse. It is especially noticable when you are traveling at 50 or 60km/h and come to a stop. You can acutally fell it kick in the back. I have done about 17000 Km's and just thought this was normal after hearing a lot anout it here. Should I get the dealer to check on it?Isher Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/7759-replacing-diff-already/page/2/#findComment-70082 Share on other sites

Its an absolute discrace that this widespread problem with the manuals, is allowed to go on! SHAME ON YOU FORD! Since the BA has the old live axel diff, and the sedan has the new independent version.I do remember most reviews of XR's from at least 5 years ago that a clunk coul dbe heard occasionly from the rear depending on what you were doing. I think U-Turns were the biggest culprit. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/7759-replacing-diff-already/page/2/#findComment-121420 Share on other sites

Ireckon its more clunkier mow! Sounds like they took your diff to give to someone else to stop the clunk!! I wouldn't put it past Ford....someone's nephew must have bought a Falcon with clunk.... Guest turbo21 Guests Posted 12/05/04 11:25 AM Share Posted 12/05/04 11:25 AM I think we should all come together and sign a petition or something to send to ford so that we can have the problem rectified and not have to worry about this stupid f@ckin clunk!!!!!!
