To be fair to Alan Joyce, his total remuneration is less than he was getting when CEO of Jetstar and is 9% less than last financial year.

The package also includes performance incentives that will obviously will not be met as it appears Tony Sheldon won't back down

He must be absolutley struggling, my heart bleeds for him.

lol...I see what you did there. Very clever and original.

See if you can find their actual wage rates, the only place I could find them the other day was in one single media article. That's where I got the $90k figure from and the previous pilot salary information.

Come on any sort of wage reported and especially if its news ltd will be at the highest possible end of the scaled, some bloke that works everyday of the week in the middle of the night. ive been trying to find what they all actually get as a base rate but havent had much luck.

Zerosignal from where Im sitting youre on the money. If your reputation and brand is based on safety and you wish to maintain it, you require the most highly skilled workforce, and that comes at a premium. Besides the real issue here is not money, it is job retention for Australians. To the liberalists, I feel that unions allow for greater balancing of the capitalist system. We are seeing many protests on a global scale (99%) and if revolution did occur it will be the wealthy that stand to lose the most. And lets not forget that Marx's idea of communism would follow the fall of capitalism. As far as Joyce is concerned, his 71% pay rise and pulling the pin is clearly to me a very unethical act, and one Im sure he will pay a high price for. For it is Government who have real legitimate power not CEO's. Cheers

My opinion on this has nothing to do with my political beliefs.

I seriously doubt that based on your adoring posts in other sections for anything to do with the labor govt hacks

Who are we to say they aren't worth that much? Qantas has a reputation for having the best safety record do they not? Im certain that wage is not typical of a ramp worker.

Speaking of greed, what do the union bosses get paid. & for what??? Yes feathering their own nest & pretending to stand up for workers. They are nothing but a bunch of greedy f*cks who are no different to Hitler's brownshirt stormtroopers. They do nothing for the country. If they were let loose on Australia they would price us out of the market.

Typical of when the idiotic portion of Australia decides to be different & vote labor. The unions run riot & start f'ing everything up.

I have no idea what you're trying to say Impellor. Big words thrown together poorly doesn't make you sound intelligent.

Funny that. You'd think if it was that bad the unions would be shouting it from the roof tops like they were last month with the cleaning staff.

It's almost like they are ashamed of it.

The TWU and pilots association need to get the message out there better, they cant match Qantas for PR that's for sure.

Adoring posts? I didn't realise a different opinion in a free country was so terrible.

It's not I was just calling BS on your claim that your political views have nothing to do what you're saying. If you love labor have the nuggets to admit it.
