Ba Sputtering Resolution

Hi All,

I have recently had the problem everyone has were the car does that traction control like brrrrrrr under load, now I have seen everyone say get custom tune or new plug to .8 and new coil packs, these may be true however all these things had been done to my xr and still doing that stupid hesitation, I have discovered that at the back of the engine given ther is so much heat under these engine bays there are two wires theat melt together that control the cam timing and cause this issue, basically I cut them out and replaced them, 2 dolar fix and car runs like a dream, now eather no one knows about this coz workshops are cashing in on this or im to retarded to use these forums and find this resolution, anyway hope this helps anyone with this problem.

Missfiring? Close the plug gap up to .65

My plugs are set at .60 now as I always had missfire problems all the way down to .70.

If it still missfires with them that close then I'd be checking the coils for cracks or water damage etc.

Hi I,m have some misfire problems myself,it started wiith after driving it hard when I took my foot off the gas and then reapplied my foot it was sputtering for a few seconds and then just seamed to clear until I done the same again,but over time it has now started to sputtering mid rev range,its like its got fuel starvation but its electrical or coils.its only done 65,000 kms.

what you have said makes sence and I will look at the wiring tomorrow and you say its at the back off the head? what am I looking for ie loom damage or some thing like that?

Thanks for sharing this GTA, will have a look for melted wires towards the back of my engine bay. Can you describe where the wires are exactly by any chance?
