Im taking the turbo out of my car for a rebuild.....so I thought I might take the opportunity to replace the drivers side engine mount while its a little more accessible.

However, due to the turbo to manifold bolts being siezed.....Ive got to take the manifold and turbo out as an assembly.....

My problem being.....I can't access the bolts for the mount without taking off the turbo......and cant remove the turbo without undoing the H brace at the mount....:/

Any pointers on this??.....

I just persisted with the turbo manifold bolts. Soaked them in wd40. I only had one that was a drama, front bottom. I spent about 6 hours on it with it slowly coming of and then the stud cracked and got it out with my fingers. If the engine mount needs to be changed can you get to it from underneath and then lift the engine up a bit?

If there is a heatshield covering the engine mount,it is held on by a washer clip. Get that washer clip off and the heatshield will come off. Then you can get to the two 13mm bolts that hold the h bracket on with the engine mount bracket. This will allow you to take the whole lot out together. Dont know why the the turbo nuts/studs are seized lol, they usually fall out. A good single hex socket helps too.
