After months of researching the forum here, I decided to go ahead and purchase a FG F6. Today I finally picked it up, and I must say I'm very impressed. Its a 2010 model with 12,000kms, Options are leather, tint and reverse camera.

After coming from modified Subaru's and most recently a re-flashed Focus XR5, it has been a pleasure to drive the ZF auto. I was hesitant on buying a auto as I have never owned one, but for the amount of around town driving I do, I have made the right choice.

As most of you have commented, it has to be one of the best sports sedans out there for overall value/performance/quality. I will be taking it to Wakefield Park next week to learn how to drive the thing safely. (never owned a RWD vehicle)

From there I will look to start modifying, first port of call being brakes and suspension, then I will move on to getting some more power out of it, something like Stage 2 intercooler, dump/cat, battery relocation/airbox and a tune from either CV or Tunehouse. I'm guessing low-mid 300rwkw's should be achievable with this judging by other members cars. From there I guess I will have to look at the fuel system and valve springs along with the rest of the exhaust to progress further.

A big thanks to all the contributors on here, your knowledge and experience have influenced my decision to join your ranks with the F6, and I'm looking forward to picking your brains more.

Cheers!!

Mate you can get just over 300 with just a tune on those things..

Yeah it's no limo but still a bloody nice ride, the boy racers will love it.

But still white FG F6's are porn!

Do Process west cooler, piping and intake... Change plugs... Bigger dump/cat/actuator and tune and you'll go close to mid 300's...

Put in a surge tank (for safety), port the wastegate and wind it up a bit after that!!! Mid-high 300's... Maybe 400 with exhaust...)

You'll never drive a front wheeler again...

You'll find everything you need here mate. They are so easy to get huge power out of with a few right mods. I'm absolutely stoked with mine after modding it.

Congratulations!

I've owned mine since August this year and it still puts a smile on my face when I drive it!

I've decided not to mod mine but owners that have,I'm sure the power gains puts a bigger smile on their faces.

I also came from a XR5 re-flashed with a BlueFin stage 2 along with a Pro Alloy IC and hi-flow cat!

It's my third RWD car however no matter how good a FWD car is and in the past 5 years or so there have been significant improvements( I've also owned a 2007 Civic Type R), I still prefer driving

a RWD car.

Cheers guys, that was one thing that had me interested in these cars, their ability to make so much more HP with minimal mods! Believe it or not, it came down to either the FG or a Megane RS250 Cup Trophee. Glad I went for the FG, way more car for the same $$$.

Looking forward to chucking her around Wakefield next week, then it will be off to Wholesale Suspension for some new shocks and springs.

You'll never drive a front wheeler again...

Haha, so true even after 24hrs!!
