Hey guys I'm looking into this electronic rust guard protection and am curious if it actually works.

This is for my daily driver.

I have been looking at this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Electronic-Rust-Protection-Corrosion-Guard-12-points-/150678828419?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2315287583 for example.

Has anyone got any feedback or know of any good quality systems available?

Why do you think those companys selling them have NOT done any testing on them: same car, one with electronic rust protection and one without ...cause they don not work. Mate there is a lot of information about these on the net, and there is none, zip, zero proof that they work, but there are lots of cases that they don`t work. The sacrificial anode method can’t` work on a car unless it’s submerged in/under water like on boats/ships/bridges etc..

Not sure if they work or not.. I noticed today the empty rebuild shell I purchased has one of these installed and there is no rust in the car... BUT the car is only a few yrs old and looks taken care of so I guess it could swing either... guess its a piece of mind thing but end of the day taking care of your care will probably do the same trick and be a lot cheaper

The boys at work looked at one of these a few years back. No details but I was told , they do not work.

I was under the bonnet the other week and spotted a red flashing light - turned out to be one of these devices - the dealer must have installed it - 1 year old and no rust

it must be working lol :stirthepot:

Electronic Rust Proofing for me works good and it was detailed in detailing shop to avoid car damages. It's up to you whether you apply it by yourself or have it done by a detailing shop. https://ceramicprotection.com.au/electronic-rust-proofing
