I plan on running a decent set of offset rims on my ute (yet to purchase)

If I have to flare/pump the guards I dont mind, I like that style of look, due to one of my past cars being a drift spec Silvia, never liked the sunken rim look.

They are not legal that's for sure... If they sit outside the guards, good luck keeping the fuzz away!

I'm telling you right now, from experience, an 18x10.5 will not clear on the inside (of a sedan) unless it has an offset of 30 or lower, that is unless you want to grind some of your car down to clear.

Circled in yellow is what will cause clearance issues. That and the one directly below it.

Great info mate, really appreciate it. Just to be clear a lower offset would be +12? or over 30. These come in +12 and +22 I think.

I will have to ignore the varrstoen rims then, too wide for the sedan unless they do another offset. Might just paint my xr8 rims black for now lol.

18x10.5 +30 will clear inside, yet will stick out from the guards. Any offset higher than 30 will not clear the inside, and anything lower than 30 will stick out of the guards more.

18x10.5 +22 could work provided you have some decent negative camber in the rear and can pump your guards.
