Now you mention abs, a mate bought a VR commy I suggested he try the abs while we were travelling at about 50k, it pulled up real well, I was braced but funny as was watching ol' mate driving trying to keep his head off the steering wheel, quote"oh man I didnt think that would happen"

I did an advanced driving course back in 1996 in my then 3 week old EF II. The ABS in those was absolutely shocking. If you didn't know what to expect it felt like the whole car was going to shake apart. Luckily, the BA version is much more friendly.

It was great fun though scaring the sh*t out of my mates with the old ABS... Amazing what you can do in a company car!!!

Geea is not a happy camper. I was told after my accident that the car would be ready on the 19th December. After checking on it at the panel beaters I start thinking that it wont be ready by then. Well I get a phone call on the 17th December telling me that the new due date is 16th of bloody January. How the bloody hell can they add 4 weeks to a job that was only supposed to take 16 days in the first place. The big problem I have now is that my family and I and the "T" are booked on the ferry to Tassie for a 10 day holiday, departing 9am 16th January. I told the insurance company (AAMI) and they said that they will try hurry up the panel beater a bit and hopefully get it ready for the 15th. I'm not going to hold my breath.

Whats even more annoying is that the ford dealer still has my new valve body ready to install when its fixed. I also have my new injectors and water spray waiting to be installed at Amberly Autos aswell.

On the plus side the bonet bulge will look great when I get it back and it will be over 6 weeks since I have driven it so it will be like getting a new car again. I'll let everyone know how the different mods effect the car as soon as I find out myself.

What are you getting done?

I might need you to take me for a spin so I can get over the withdrawl symptoms. :hohoho:

Man, that sucks ass big time. Sounds like they couldn't get the work done before XMAS, and now they are all on holidays for a few weeks.

Just the xcede at this stage mate. Mind you I have the SS induction, BMC filter, Centre muffler replaced by 2 hot dogs and rear muffler replaced with straight pipes as of yesterday.

The centre muffler I didn't really notice that much gain but after taking out the rear yesterday wow. Sure it's a bit loud but it's not a droning loud it's a low rumble loud and it improved low end throttle response too.

Happy to catch up at some stage if you like I'm pretty flexible over the next few weeks.

I'd love to have a listen to your car at some stage, the exhaust sounds like it could be good. The guys at Amberley are great, you'll love their work.

Do you have the auto or manual? If you have the auto get Ford to check it to see whether they need to replace the valve body before you get your chip.

Geea.
