Who's the chick in the photo?

Second question: Did she make a noise when you ran up the back of her?

The chick is a good friend of mine. Not the lady I hit.

Did she make a noise? As in call the cops and carry on? No.

She was just as keen as me to keep the police out of it, which struck me as strange when I thought about it later.

I've since been told she's got a bit of history with the panel beaters around town. :banghead:

Sorry to hear the bad news.

But I was just wondering, does this have anything to do with the type of tyres that people use or is it due to the width of the tyres ?

Daniel

Aquaplaning can be effected by the type of tyres, the width of tyres and also the tire pressure. Each of these (and other things) can effect the ability of the tyre to cut through pooled or banked up water.

(Wider tyres are worse. Lower tyre pressures are worse. Bad tread patterns on tyres are worse).

I told the panel beater that if possible I would like a GT/XR8 bonnet. I made him aware that at the moment they are a bit hard to come by and that I would like him to organise it asap. He said 'no worries I'm ordering the parts on Friday'.I phoned on Friday and he told me his dealer had none left due to hail damage up the east coast but his dealer managed to get one from another dealer. I said great but he told me it wouldn't get delivered till Monday.I spent the whole weekend sure that someone would double sell it and that I would miss out. I dropped past the panel shop about lunch time and saw my "T" in pieces (wasn't pretty) and also saw 1 new wheel and 2 repaired (look like new) wheels and 2 of them had new tyres. I asked about the bonnet and he proceeded to open a large bonnet sized box and show me my new BULGE, I was very happy.

I think the Bulge looks great and it can't hurt having a bit more space under the bonnet for air flow. Any thoughts on the air flow side of things?

I will show photo's when I get her back. Still due on 19th Dec.

Geea. <_<

I was going along Boundry rd Braeside, just after the Lwr Dandenong rd roundabout,

That is a ba$tard of a road. My brother put his EF wagon sideways into a gutter there, several hundred $$$ and I personally saw an old VH Late model camira take out a pole along there, both written off.

Hard luck man. At least the Bonnet is a bonus!

Great stuff Geea. Im sure the bulging bonnet staring you in the face every time you drie will make up for the pain of the prang.

Just think now you have your own little bit of individuality that will surely confuse many onlookers :drivingalong:

Bad luck Geea - glad to hear you're OK.

I know I'd be in tears if it ever happened to me... but we all have to remember that, taken to the right panel shop, you'd never know it had happened...

What's the story about the power pole damage? Does insurance cover it or do you get a bill in the post like the bad old days of 30 years ago?

Edit: damned space bar ain't working too well...
