(cant afford to break too much ) Still goes hard. I Had gone in to get the head gasket and diff hat replaced and was advised to replace the motor as it may only last another 40k (done over 180k). Head gasket damage most likely due to a bad tune ,bad valve timing apparently. I was also told its highly probable that it once was running some very high power and this has caused the problem. Lee found a used BA MKII motor with about 80K on it for $2900 which sounds reasonable as I havn't seen anything close to that. Was hoping for a later model BF motor with the better bits though they cost a bit more than I want to spend. I did forget about the gas engine, I wonder how much a new short is worth? Gasman Ford Nub Member 412 Member For: 14y 10d Gender: Male Location: Gold Coast Posted 18/10/11 06:40 PM Author Share Posted 18/10/11 06:40 PM So im guessing the egas is the same as whats called an lpg dedicated engine. Found one from an FG with 50k on it for $1000. So even the valve ports in the head Are identical? And just so im clear, the rods etc are the ones better than the BA bits? What about the valve springs?I would love the F6 engine but I dont intend on spending that much, Already lost enough as far as im concerned.
