Sick EB New Member 6 Member For: 16y 4m 7d Gender: Male Posted 17/10/11 09:08 AM Share Posted 17/10/11 09:08 AM hey everyone.I had a close call reversing with my fg ute... hit a pole... but it actually just hit the tail gate hinge so it didnt damage anything lol.. lucky!!anyway because you only get lucky once I was thinking on installing either a reverse camera or sensors.now ive been told you cant install the factory sensors into a ute. so that's out..anyone installed some other sensors? ebay or something else?also has anyone installed a reverse camera? where has it been installed?ive seen them go into the numberplate light holder but due to my ute being a little low I was wondering about how much vision I would get, especially on the drivers side rear..any advice would be great..thanksmatt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Are there any good aftermarket sensor kits that could be used for the FG utes?I don't think the camera is the best idea on these utes having the number plate on the bottom rear left of the car, wouldn't be able to see much.. Taks a lot of the worry out of it once you get used to them. I would prefer a reverse camera though as things like wire fences and the like aren't picked up well by sensors.
