hey everyone.

I had a close call reversing with my fg ute... hit a pole... but it actually just hit the tail gate hinge so it didnt damage anything lol.. lucky!!

anyway because you only get lucky once I was thinking on installing either a reverse camera or sensors.

now ive been told you cant install the factory sensors into a ute. so that's out..

anyone installed some other sensors? ebay or something else?

also has anyone installed a reverse camera? where has it been installed?

ive seen them go into the numberplate light holder but due to my ute being a little low I was wondering about how much vision I would get, especially on the drivers side rear..

any advice would be great..

thanks

matt

I would love to know about this as well. Been in some close calls recently! Are there any good aftermarket sensor kits that could be used for the FG utes?

I don't think the camera is the best idea on these utes having the number plate on the bottom rear left of the car, wouldn't be able to see much..

If your only going to get one I'd get sensors, way more useful then the camera.

You'll need a premium sound screen for the camera too won't you?

Ive got a cheap sensor kit in mine, I run two sensors, but you could run four, just have to work out mounting. Taks a lot of the worry out of it once you get used to them. I would prefer a reverse camera though as things like wire fences and the like aren't picked up well by sensors.
