I ended up drill in a hole in the back manifold shield and bolting the dump pipe shield to it. Will still look at ceramic coating though.

surely there would have been many guys with this same problem after upgrading to a 4 inch dump?

why is this the first time I have read of someone having this problem?

So far the people I've spoken to that have a 4" dunno pipe have removed that lower shield. I just wasn't too keen on that idea.

thanks 4 the write up guys I was thinking about the heat shelding aswell, ps a few years back I wraped extractors in heat tape it only lasted 18months b 4 they rusted out . :spit:
