Anyone that suggests "FPV" as a badge means more than an XR6T is dreaming. Its the same car to everyone else with a few extras - still just a Ford. (can sometimes come across worse in fact)

My view - F6 is clearly the better car if money no issue, but if budget is tight(ish) then FGT will give you 90% the car for far less than 90% the money. Just my 2 cents

Personally, I love the F6 as a package so I'm not knocking it FPV fans!! :dwarf:

If you just want to leave it then for sure get the f6, if you want to mod then maybe the xr6 is better... I've got the f6. Can't complain.

I'll second the notion of an F6. Whether you're planning mods or not, F6's are cheap now. Real-world performance between them is marginal, almost even negligible, but you get just that little bit more with an F6. Even if the kays are lower on a newer XR6T, they're still Falcons at the end of the day. They're built to last and take a hammering while doing it (mechanically, at least)

For what it's worth, the missus rented an fg xr6 in NZ and said it felt povvo compared toan F6.

Motorbreath310, if the XR6T is "just a Falcon" at the end of the day, what is an F6? Is it from a Late model camira or Skyline?

I'm intrigued mate, last time I checked it was also the exact same Falcon??! lol

I was talking about the F6 when I said 'just a Falcon'. Making the point that, even with a 50-odd km difference, they're still both Falcons. High km's are their forte'.

I bought my F6 with 130km on it and it's only 3 years-old. It'll probably have over 200km by the time I'm done with it but I'm pretty confident it'll last. Even if it won't be worth as much as a lower-km example come sale time (if I even decide to sell it)

I see alot of them with low-kms that have been kept as weekend-only cars. This is all good, but it is still just a mainstream four-door family car. Not that the F6 isn't special to me, but if I was buying a weekend toy, it'd be something a bit more unique. Mine's a daily driver, and the stone chips and scratches under the bumper reflect that. At least I can say I have the pleasure (like many others) of driving a car like this every day. The fact it's an F6 with its extra little novelties makes the daily commute/weekend cruise just that wee bit more pleasureable. To me at least.

All depends what you're after. To me the F6 is a bit more special. Even if it is 'Just a Falcon' :P

Motor310, I totally understand where your coming from now - misread your post thinking you were seperating the XRT from F6 as "a falcon". (some FPV owners get a bit carried away on here....lol)

Apologies, as for the rest of your post, 100% agree and is very similar to my approach to buying cars. Great choice.

Cheers.
