One more thing I wanted to ask is do you NEED a surge tank..? From what my tuner has said you don't need to do it until your running dual pumps... Also my tuner said it's best to do the standard pump when you do injectors... I'm happy to do this but just after opinions.

Cheers

I would go a larger intank pump. Go the siemens pump it is really quiet not like the whine of the walbro. I went in 2 cars with walbros and they were loud, that's why I went the siemens.

I've got a surge tank, not sure if I need it or not but it certainly doesn't hurt. You can not hear it at all from inside the car, from outside I quite like the sound- it's not loud but is noticeable.

Wish it was visible though as they are a great looking thing!

Got a Process West surge with a bosch pump, can hear slight whine(bit like hum through stereo when no filter installed) when stopped at lights with audio off but as soon as audio is on or window down can't hear it. My tuner explained our fuel pumps etc options for prevent fuelling issues like surges and I thought this was the way to go, at least for added insurance.

I also have 60lb dekas and work well with the surge, my afrs were still spot on after the surge instal.

Thanks again guys, all great advice. So I should go an injector that will go with me if I want more than 300, sounds fair enough. And that pump should be ok because I can always ad another and a surge if I want to go more again... Will 60lb Dekas be good for E85?

@straughsberry what did you want for those injectors? What product are they too?

Thanks again for the advice!!!

They're a Bosch EV14 I got from Five-O Motorsport. They come with adapters and pigtails. Flow is 1000cc at 3 bar and 1180cc at 4 bar. I'm after $500 for them.

Injector Dynamics ID1000 injectors & a PW surge tank with Bosch 044 pump. If you can't afford to do it properly, don't do it at all as a failure caused by inferior parts will cost more than the extra $$$ needed to buy quality parts in the first place :spoton:

Cheers guys!! And can't agree more with Slash!! That is how I am trying to do things... Staying to safe brands and I'd rater over build than over power any day!!!

At this point I'll need to get the Surge install quoted up but I'm thinking 60lb Dekas and an 044 :) One more question... Is the 044 in tank or in line?

Thanks again guys!!
