Recently I decided to replace my interior lights with coloured LED's from Coastal LED Supplies (Ebay).

Off ebay I purchased the Map Light replacements and the Interior Light replacement.

So to replace the Map lights was easy.. Using a narrow tipped flat head screwdrive the covers pop right out. The bulbs pull straight out of the sockets.. I made the mistake of thinking that I needed to rotate the sockets whichs causes them to disappear back into the roof of the car (Didn't get a picture of this).. But it was a painful operation with a pair of needle nose pliers to get that damn thing out. Insert the LED bulbs

Then do the same with the main Interior light.

It's worth noting that looking at the back of the LED array for the interior light it's single directional. So if it doesn't work the first time.. Take it out and spin it around.

So the finished products (Without covers)

Now I wasn't completely happy with how the map lights turned out.. As the LED only emits light from a very small focal point on the end of the diode.. So while it provides plenty of light in the cabin when you look at the lights there is a very noticeable point of brightness..

However all said and done here is a crappy Iphone photo of the end product at night time.. It doesn't illuminate the interior of the car anywhere near as well as the stock lights did.. But there is still plenty of light in the interior.. and while I couldn't get a decent photo through the glass as there was too much ambience from street lights etc.. It looks pretty awesome from the outside.

ive done mine to white lights and got the stuff from the same guy, legend! lights up everything! ive got a different centre light though, mines seperate and is 18 led's I think, maybe a bit more. did have blue and that was pretty bright, but changed cos it was hard to read stuff at night (melways etc). nice cheap mod. friend of mine has premium sound (he has connections for the footwells already? I couldnt find any in mine with pov pack icc) and did the whole car including footwell lights for front and back passengers, looks unreal

Thanks shy.. I've got the premium sound I might look into that. The red is awesome as it gives me enough light to read maps and stuff and doesn't screw up your night vision. So it's an excellent replacement for my red LED flashlight I take star gazing.

No luck on the fog lights yet dillz. He will email me when they are in stock. He's got the Parkers already though.

I bought some pretty expensive LED lights for the Foglights. Put them in, they are a nice white but they emit so little light that I took them straight out again.

For the very few times I use them, I actually want them to work and light up the sides of the road, so I've kept them stock.

As for the parkers get some bug 32 SMD LED ones or something like that, they are pretty long but they are very bright and white in colour.

I bought Phillips Crystal Vision low and high beam globes and they are very white as well and complement the LED parkers perfectly.

Sounds good mate but I'm chasin red LEDs for the fog lights as I can't legally drive with them on in QLD unless it's foggy so I was gonna put red ones in for track days. Where did you get the white LEDs for the fog lights though?

I find the longevity of these LEDS are around 3-6months at best. Iv purchased a few and and find they start to flicker and fade after a while

I bought LED's off ebay, mainly coming from Hong Kong, cost stuff all compared to local, and they'd be all made there anyway.

I have them in rear reading lights which suck because only work with the full interior light due to the polarity

Front map lights are just some cheapy ones not very bright.

a 12 SMD panel in the roof

a 48 SMD panel in the boot

30 SMD reverse globes

had 6 LED parkers, half gone out and now flickering (due to heat from the H4's apparently)

I want to do all indicators and stop/tail but nobody makes anything suitable, not sure why, there'd be a huge market for drop in replacements!
