Sorry about the delay guys, been working my @ss off.

You can get pacemaker headers and an xforce catback system for them, headers are rather pointless unless pushing well over 400rwkw, catback system should take the power up to around 385rwkw.

The 5.0 SC Miami engines are fitted with a eaton 1900 blower with an 8psi pulley, they have a internal bypass system the the ecu uses to control the boost, the GS utes runs around 3psi, the gs run around 5psi and the Gt run around 6.5psi, so with the tune they allow the car to run the full 8psi, hence why there are greater power gains in the gs over the Gt with the same power levels attained.

I picked mine up for 50k, had 4500kms on it and had been the dealer principles car. There are two demo Gs's with roughly the same kms going for 46k here in Brisbane.

I was originally looking at an F6 but after having two boosted xr6t's (315rwkw and 430rwkw) I was after something different. The f6 is great for sheer speed, but the gs with the blown Miami just has the most magnificent sound and is just an exhilating ride. At this point I'll probably look at the handling and braking now to get the most out of the 370rwkw I now have.

I'll post pics up tomorrow of it, and when I get my hands on a decent camera setup I'll get some videos :-)

Nice post Howsee. Having had quite a few 'old school' car in the past, I miss the V8 too mate. The performance bug bit with the turbo, but it still doesn't really do it for me. I know it's quick but it just doesn't inspire. I can see why you wanted the change mate and think I'll go down a similar path next time. Many are crossing from the 'dark side' also to step into a GS and with your power levels, you can see why.

Nah marky - GT-P

It has everything :-)

Remember mine was almost 20 grand cheaper than your F6, if I spent the money I saved buying an F6 for the same price you paid for yours I'd mod mine with the difference and you'd never catch me :-) and I'll still take you on down the 1/4 mile!!!

But mine will always sound better :-P

Marky add up the total purchase cost of your f6, say $61k, plus $6k in mods gives you 480rwhp for $67k.

GS for $50k, plus $1.5k in mods, 490rwhp for $51.5k.

So there is a saving on $15.5k and I have more hp, but if I spent the remaining on my car it would decimate the F6...

FPV GS 315 is THE bang for your buck winner out of FPV :-)

Great one howsee, these 5.0sc have me very jealous as they are already strong enough to handle good power and so easy to get power out of.

With it's liniar power delivery the f6 with same power would be very hard pressed on a tight cornered hill climb to keep with a 5.0sc

I have had a bit of a play with a manual v8 XR against my big powered turbo XR and the out of corner is very hard to match as if I try I just get huge wheel spin.

Ease the power on is not a option either as the v8 will leave you sitting.

I would catch him hand over foot but then another corner and it all starts over again.

Maybe different if I got to start in front though as he was holding me up into the corners. Which also is only prob due to my big brakes advantage.

Now v8 with blower would be even harder to beat.

Mine you on the open road the v8 XR was woe. full.
