curious; you must be really pi#@ed (only way to express it I feel).

You dont make me feal that bad about being on my 3rd box (auto)and believe me my anger is sky high.

I know how you feel its things like that make you feel like giving the car back and saying give me one that works. The govt. should bring in a rule about this and make the car coy's more accountable, that is, if a certian amount of problems occur they have to replace the car.

Interesting question already posted was how many k's had you done .

Hope they get it right for you and your problems stop.

Not suprising really. Every other car maker in the world have their "problems". About time we caught up ;) *looks at honda's CIVIC with the 1.5 million world wide recall*

But seriously, there is bound to be the odd bad one. It's a numbers thing, you can't be 100%, 100% of the time.

Sad to hear of your problems.

Did thet indicate just how long it would be befor you get the car back?

Is it a Ford dealer who is actually fitting the new engine in their service dept?

Kilometres done were 30,000. It is unusual to have zero compression in all the cylinders. Like I said it was like that in the first 4 but left after that so the back two may have some. It was dead cause I remember when the tech was crankng it over, the starter had no resistance and only the occasional "plop plop" through the exhaust. Maybe the turbo let go who knows, another suggestion was the valve jammed closed and overboosted. What ever it is its terminal

Time!!!! well it took just under three weeks to get the box back. They sent away the old gear box for exchange but sent another already broken one up and fitted that that by mistake. They better not try that rubbish again.

It was mislabelled and they sent a gearbox back to us that was from another car and broken as well. As to how these mistakes were made, who knows. It was driven a total of 2 klometres before the crunch and clunks were heard and it was taken straight back. They made admissions as to the stuff up and that's the explanation that was given.

Do you drive it hard?

What happened to your 1st engine?

What sort of fuel economy do you get?

It was driven hard but that's no excuse, it was maintained perfectly not thrashed, all its limits were respected and never bounced off the rev limiter.

Fuel Economy was not flash as it was my work car (has blue and white checkers on the side)

Many people were cheering as it was on the truck.

SAD SO SAD
