So, after waiting patiently for my money to come through, then the camera to arrive. Today was the day FedEx came with the goods! :funnydance: Canon EOS 60D + 50mm f/1.8 II Lens.

Was very excited to get it out, charge the battery and have a fiddle with the settings. Got a memory card so tomorrow I might get on the pushy and explore with the camera :)

well spotted guys, but are they slippers as well in that pic?

Seriously though, sweet camera. Next year I really want to upgrade mine tosomething like that. Reading up on a couple of photography forums, but the more I read the harder it gets to decide on a body and some lenses.

F*ck no lol! :roflmbo: When I read what Adam said I looked back at the picture and thought someone may think that lol. They're urge shoes.

Thanks man, I'm happy as with the camera, just been reading up in the manual and a book I bought last wk http://www.photoforb...hotography-book

Lots of information to remember but I'll get the hang of it all eventually. Now wishing I did photography at school lol. Took some photos of the family cat and changed around the settings.

I'll probably go into town either later today or tomorrow and grab a bag for it, dude from camerahouse suggested Lowepro Nova 170 AW for me, just the right amount of space/compartments I need.

Also, the old lady mentioned to me yesterday there's a camera club down here in Geelong. Waiting on a phone call back on who to talk to, where/how often they meet up. Be great to get tips/information and meet up with them etc.

What camera do you have now sideways?

I've got one of these http://www.digitalca...au/prod2687.htm Fuji s8100 point and shoot. My other lil toy camera is a waterproof lumix that you can adjust sweet FA . . . but it's packed full of underwater awesomeness.

Well there seem to be quiet few people here that know their sh*t so maybe you can help out a brother with a Nikon question too :)

I had a 450d with the twin lens kit but it was stolen couple of month ago so time to get another one and now I'm leaning towards Nikon

Thinking of getting the D7000 with a 18-105 kit lens and later on a 35 f1.8.

So the question for you all is, is there a better alternative to the Nikon 18-105 at a similar $$$ you guys can recommend? Definitely want an image stabiliser though.
