Can I ask why you want a fisheye lens?

To take pictures like shy's profile pic. Probably mostly use it on cars and maybe some nightclub stuff if I get good enough and into it.

Whats the difference between a $250-$300 fish eye and the $50 ones on ebay like thisp

Shys profile pic was not taken with a fish eye lens, I believe it was taken with a 17-50 wide angle.

Yah ^ he's good! Was just after I got my tripod and was having fun with long exposures on the Tamron 17-50. I've tried the 17-50 in a nightclub...did my head in. Need to be a fair distance away from subject. Another good use I'll get the 10-22 out of when I get it off Adam (good lad he is  ). Also getting a flash and using a second curtain flash ;)

No flash and it's a pita..lights of the club take over the picture..or there's not enough light lol. On board flash is crap too..hence I'll get a flash gun

Hope that info helps bellato! The 10-22 will take pictures exactly like the one in my profile pic (was taken at 17mm) and is good for nightclubs as you can get closer to the subject and fit it all in :)

Wide angles like 10-22 are quite expensive hey... Might have to look into it some more! might use my 18-55 and see if I can replicate some shots like your DP and if I like how it works maybe get a wide angle lens.

Yea if I do any nightclub stuff it will be done with a speedlight or some external flash! On board flash pisses me off lol, its way too intense on just one area.

Waiting to get a cut and polish before I take any car photos because my poor beast looks horrid at the moment. Then I'll test the camera out properly!

Thanks mate

The 50 1.4 is good valve and apparently sharper than the 1.2 after 2.8.

I didn't buy the 1.2 to shoot stopped down passed 2.8 though.

The 1.2 really makes you work for good shots. It can be quite frustrating actually, but when it gets it right it's awesome.
