I am lookin at purchasing a hard top but I have a soft tonneau on atm, I wanna know if its possible to drill out the stupid pop rivit lugs and put the lil caps back like they come out with standard

You can most definitely remove the soft tonneau tie points, you can even weld em up and smooth them back then get it repainted if you want that flush look.

What caps do they come with standard?

They look like they have little lugs that cover the holes up for when they put the tie down points in for the tonneau

are you talking about removing the black tie points, and replacing them with the little colour coded caps?

if so you will have to get them from ford.

of course you can get them

maybe ebay but never seen them on there

ford is your best bet unless someone else knows a another mob that makes them.

I got mine from a ute accessories place in Adelaide. Was dead easy to do but you have to make sure you don't make the hole bigger where the rivet was otherwise the plugs won't click in. That's if the ford ones were the same as the ones I used, they sort of pop in.

Anyone know the correct drill bit (size) to drill out the lugs?
