I work for myself and pay cash for my cars but still claim certain things, maybe not as much as you, but I own my car in the end. When I sold it not long ago money went straight into my pocket and owed no one anything. Never been a fan leasing a car, never wanted to owe more than what it's worth, even for tax reasons. This has been very effective for me in the past.Mods/ Maintenance/rego/insurance and fuel , pre tax and an ~ 15- 17% residual after 3/4 years, I'll take it. Mine is on a lease and if I was to pay it out now it would cost me over double what it will cost me in another year. If that's the case I say keep it. Not a good time to sell but really, when is it a good time to sell.
